Building on this expertise, EnviroMission evolved the proprietary Solar Tower technology into a new generation of renewable power—STEGS™: Solar Thermal Energy Generation and Storage. STEGS™ is a patent pending, modular, and highly efficient system that stores and dispatches thermal energy to provide uninterrupted, baseload electricity—day or night. Similar to the Solar Tower, the process captures and stores heat in a storage medium and uses hot air to turn turbines. However, the adoption of the new technology reduces the footprint of the new system and descalesconstruction risk as it uses standard power plant equipment.
