AUSTRALIA: Wellington Park Synergy Project
EnviroMission and TROETHERM are advancing a large-scale hybrid energy facility in Gippsland, Australia integrating the company’s proprietary STEGS™ technology with latent geothermal resources. This pioneering development aims to synergise the thermally active geology of Wellington Park with STEGS™ to exploit high heat profiles and ensure consistent energy production. The venture is earmarked to deliver unparalleled cost-effective electricity in a region that is coping with 2000+MW of coal generation being decommissioned by 2028.
Project Highlights:
- 2050-acre site with 170°C geothermal resource
- STEGS™ integrated for peak heat capture and dispatchability
- Expected to generate long-duration base-load power with minimal environmental footprint
- Designed as a modular model for replication nationwide
Regional Impact:
- Renewable industry job creation
- Enhanced grid stability post-coal decommissioning (2028)
- Export-ready clean energy infrastructure
